Flood Risk Management and Environmental Business Line manager for the Norfolk District. Program manager for the General Investigations, Planning Assistance to States, Flood Plain Management Services, Regional Sediment Management, Oyster Restoration, and Continuing Authorities programs. Corps of Engineers representative to the Commonwealth of Virginia water supply planning team.District Flood Risk Management lead with FEMA and other federal, state, and local flood risk management agencies. Participated in multiple disaster recovery efforts for FEMA in response to Hurricanes Irene (2011), Ernesto (2006), Gaston (2004), and Isabel (2003). Prepared damage survey reports for public and infrastructure repair assistance and served as legislative liaison for local communities to federal, state, and local agencies participating in the public response to these flooding events. Was awarded a Community Service Award by the Chowan River Basin Consortium for efforts in planning, designing, acquiring, and installing an integrated early flood warning system in response to pervasive flooding in the basin.
