Visionary leadership to the management teams of YRC, Holland, Glen Moore and Reddaway operating companies that led to the optimization of the linehaul and terminal networks, lower cost structures and customer satisfaction. Coordinated the efforts in the design and development of technology to reduce cost and improve linehaul efficiencies.

Directed the strategic planning and operational oversight of Linehaul and Distribution Center Operations in order to provide streamlined operations, reduced operating costs, transit time reduction, greater profitability and industry leading service performance.Implemented velocity hub and corridor hub operations which reduced time through break down from 15 hours to less than 8 hours.Developed a linehaul and distribution center network that incorporated utility employees, over 120 road driver domiciles and over 5,000 road drivers which improved driver productivity, reduced miles and which was necessary to enter the next day and 2 day shipment markets.Led a Volume Pricing team that increase truckload shipments from less than 500 per day to 850 per day. This reduced empty miles and improved profitability.Designed a sleeper team operation with over 1,000 road drivers and nine domiciles that supported 2, 3 and 4 day service on expedited shipments. Premium expedited shipments grew from 3,000 per day to over 5,000 guaranteed shipments per day. Premium expedited shipments continuously performed at over 98% on-time to the customer.Managed staffing for all linehaul operations. Implemented operational plans and fleet sizes that resulted in industry leading productivity and utilization on all revenue equipment.5,000 tractors reached 425 miles per day and 6,000 city tractors achieved 150 miles per day40,000 trailers cycled once every 10 days.4,000 forklifts achieved 3.5 bills per hour.I was the Key Contact with transportation partners to develop and maintain strategies, operational efficiencies, and proposals for lowering costs and improving profitability and service. Negotiated railroad contracts with Burlington Northern Sante Fe, Union Pacific Railroad and Norfolk Southern Railway.Implemented a truckload partnership with JB Hunt.

Provided strategic objectives and policy of operations as they relate to the labor environment. Led efforts for YRC with the IBT for the establishment of all linehaul work rules.Identified and initiated safety programs to ensure safety targets were met.Linehaul miles per preventable accidents improved from 800,000 miles to 1,200,000 miles through the implementation of the advanced weather systems, conservative dispatch procedures, safety best practices and employee involvement.

Directed all aspects of the daily linehaul operations for Yellow Transportation. Oversaw the management of the company's road driver resources to improved utilization.Partnered with the labor directors and managers to be incompliant with the National Master Freight Agreement and local supplements.Recruited, trained and developed Central Dispatch personnel.
