I am a passionate and dedicated Conservation Biologist with hands-on experience in environmental stewardship, outdoor education, and invasive species management. My expertise spans a range of technical skills, from field sampling and GPS/GIS surveying to species identification and power tool operation. I take pride in working in remote and challenging environments, always prioritizing safety and problem-solving to accomplish conservation goals.Throughout my career, I have cultivated a deep understanding of New York's diverse ecosystems, especially its fauna and flora. I’ve had the privilege of leading conservation efforts, such as invasive species removal, habitat restoration, and trail maintenance, while engaging with the public through educational programs and community service. My experience includes working in some of the state's most renowned parks and natural spaces, including Connetquot State Park and Frost Valley YMCA, where I led educational programs for diverse groups of students, from K-12 to adult learners.In addition to my practical skills, I am adept at coordinating large teams, facilitating outdoor activities, and creating educational content that encourages environmental awareness. Whether instructing a class on forest ecology or leading a volunteer group on a conservation project, I am driven by a passion for the outdoors and a commitment to protecting the natural world.I hold a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, where I gained a strong foundation in environmental science and ecology. I am certified in First Aid/CPR, Wilderness First Aid, and the Game of Logging, and I am continuously looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills in the field of conservation.
