He created the annual British Parking Awards competition in 2002 and produces its annual ceremony. In recent years he devised EVolution, a website exploring the transition to zero-emission transport, connected mobility services and autonomous vehicles.Mark also programmes a series of sector-defining conferences including current series on such as Mobility Hubs, Enforcement Excellence, and Traffic + Parking. In parallel to his transport sector work, in the 2000s Mark also secured UK Film Council support to create the journal Cinema Business. During this period he co-produced a series of conferences for the film distribution, arthouse and film festival sectors.In the academic realm, during the 1990s Mark undertook postgraduate research on Anglo-American literature (MA UCL), with a particular focus on narratives of itineracy and role-playing as a means of exploring urban underworlds.Mark is a member of the Society of Editors (SoE) and currently part of a Periodical Publishers’ Association (PPA) forum exploring issues such a digital rights.
