I serve as the manager for Organizational Capacity (Learning and Development) at Tropicana in Bradenton. I am the Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) Organizational Capacity pillar leader, improving performance, culture, skills and outcomes through professional learning and coaching. I have begun implementing a model of trauma informed leadership practices centered in equity, visibility, engagement, and inclusion.Highlighted Experiences• Delivered a 15-week training plan for Fruit Operations with supervisors and leads. The results were a revised onboarding and training process that led to exceeding primary and secondary yield expectations and increased safety as the Fruit season started. Success indicators include producing 50% above predicted yield in pulp week 1, and 109% above predicted yield week 2; producing 60% above predicted yield in peel oil in week 1; experiencing a 7-year low in job abandonment, firings, and reportable safety issues since onboarding new and returning seasonal staff. • Manage a team tasked with transforming Tropicana culture and building trust through transparency and inclusion. Built improved relationships between the union membership and plant management team.• Facilitated a process that redesigned how Skilled Trades mechanics are recruited, trained, and retained.• Built relationships with the School District, Manatee Technical College and the University of Florida to develop new pipelines of employees coming into the plant.• Designed and implemented supervisor training across seven production departments to invest in leadership and interpersonal skills that enhanced production and invested in building positive culture through transparency and inclusion.• Trained as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) Team and serve on the ERT Leadership Team. Certified as a HAZMAT first responder, closed space and high angle ropes rescue.

In this role, I serve as the instructor for the "Ethics and the Public Manager" course, as well as serve as the supervisor for the in-depth Professional Case Studies facilitation process, supporting students from disparate governmental and public agencies in securing their National Certified Public Manager certification. I am honored to have earned a full ride scholarship tp participate in the program myself, and further honored to have been asked back as an instructor after graduating from the program in 2016.

Assistant Principal for a Title I Elementary School, serving about 550 students and families and a staff of nearly 100 professional educators.

I served as an Emergency Medical Technician and Ropes Rescue team member for the Baraboo District Ambulance Service. Serving as an EMT is one of the ways that I "walk my talk" about investing in your own community with time, talent, or treasure. I am proud to serve the citizens of Baraboo, Sauk County, and the surrounding areas as an EMT. Certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Incident Command, and Ropes Rescue I and II.

In this role, I served as the project manager for the Wisconsin Educator Effectiveness System Calibration, the coordinator of the Wisconsin Teacher of the Year program, and the official liaison to the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation. I have led programmatic changes that improved equity-informed decision making within the Department, and been asked to present these strategies to the State Superintendent's Executive Cabinet and other teams. Additionally, I support professional development and training content creation for teacher and principal effectiveness. Finally, I am a key connector for organizational partnerships, including those with Educator's Credit Union, the Milwaukee Brewers, and the Wisconsin Army National Guard.

I served as the Madison site coordinator for graduate level pre-service principal and director of instruction candidates through the Madison campus. I also served as an advisor to students completing their administrative licensure and their master's projects or theses. I have twice been the instructor for the "Principalship" course.

I served as a board member (as a citizen representative from public education), sub-committee chairman (Public Relations committee), Vice Chair and Chairman of the Wisconsin for Serve Wisconsin. I was first appointed by Governor Jim Doyle, reappointed by Governor Doyle for a second term, and then appointed by Governor Walker for my third term. I was proud to be a non-partisan member of the Board, working to deepen the impact of volunteerism and community service throughout Wisconsin during my three terms.

In this role, I served as the Assistant Communications Director, providing critical communications (proactive and reactive), media outlet relationship building, social media management, coaching and training for professional and executive staff, and large-scale front facing event conceptualization and coordination for the Office of the Secretary. I also served as a representative on the logo and branding redesign team.

In this role, I served as part of the contracts and procurement team, matching budget and procurement to programs impacting children, students, families, and communities. Programs I supported included early childhood education, out-of-home care, wraparound services, special needs adoption, and fraud prevention, county-based contracting, and food and economic security.

I taught both undergraduate and graduate level coursework in writing, public speaking, business administration, and organizational management with the University of Phoenix-Madison Campus. The University of Phoenix-Madison Campus was closed in 2013 as a part of national restructuring and downsizing.

In this role, I served as school principal, district Director of Instruction, and Director of Instructional Technology in an under-resourced district with high levels of racial diversity and families experiencing situational and generational poverty. I oversaw new teacher mentoring and district relationships with the Dane County New Teacher Project. I guided PK-12 curriculum implementation, including the development and adoption of curricular materials. I guided district and building level strategic planning, personnel hiring and evaluation, teacher coaching, and facility, infrastructure and fiscal management.Highlights include presenting nationally, on multiple occasions, on the use of assessment to guide performance in staff evaluation, coaching teachers, and developing a data-informed culture.

I taught English, speech, reading, theater and communication arts; coached competitive speaking and debate. Master state judge for competitive speech, debate, and Academic Decathlon. Certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.Key Accomplishments in this role include being invited to testify as an expert to the Wisconsin Legislature on two occasions regarding educator licensing changes and the perspectives of educators in the field; serving as a Wisconsin Teacher of the Year (2000); USA-Today Top 40 Teachers in America (2004). Earned a master educator lifetime license by completing the National Board for Professional Teacher Standards; mentored others pursuing national certification with a 100% pass rate
