This role involved data entry (invoice/credit note entry, matching of purchase orders, general ledger coding), admin responsibilities (dealing with any queries via email/phone about payments, purchase orders, or payments), as well as general office tasks such as printing/filing/scanning. Frequent use of Outlook when dealing with emails, and Excel to display extracted supplier/payment data and to filter datasets of interest. Often required collaboration with other teams within the company, as well as outside businesses and subcontractors.

Worked here for summer work during the University break. This job involved the packaging of orders for customers of the company, mainly involved manual labor but at times problem solving was required. This job promoted good organisational skills, time management and team work to ensure all orders were completed by the end of the day. Additionally had some basic training operating the in-warehouse gantry crane, as well as using the Shawston stock check system and a basic understanding of the ordering process system used, showing an adaptability to learning new skills.

Summer work during the holiday from University. Included serving customers behind the till, giving advise on the shop floor, as well as helping find items in the back of the store at busy times. This job helped me develop confidence in interacting with people and improved my ability to sell a product to customers that were unsure about its benefits. Additionally it further improved my teamwork skills and problem solving skills, especially when trying to help unsatisfied customers.
