ACL is the clinical laboratory for the 27 AdvocateAurora hospitals and 200+ clinics in Wisconsin and Illinois. Led the delivery of System Integration services, Informatics / Data Warehouse, Financial applications, Laboratory Pre and Post Analytic applications and IT Operations functions for ACL and delivered Outreach services to external Physicians. Supported the 30 person Sales Team with IT and technology solutions. Negotiated large IT contracts from $1 to $32 million. Department consisted of 3 managers and 30 FTEs with annual budgets from $5 to $8 million.• Led a three-year effort to evaluate major laboratory information systems and select a new system with a team of 20 IT and clinical operations personnel. Project included requirements definition, vendor analysis, laboratory site visits, detailed ROI preparation, and resulted in final approval by the AAH capital committees for the Epic Beaker system.• Managed SaaS solution from Halfpenny Technologies to interface 260+ Physician EMR systems and a dedicated web portal for 3000+ external Physicians and staff for laboratory orders and results. The solution enabled growth of test volumes thru connected systems with improved performance.• Implemented InterSystems Ensemble integration engine to connect 100+ internal and external EMR and laboratory systems. Replaced an antiquated system with the market leading solution.• Enhanced and transitioned Salesforce system from external consultancy to internal management for support of ACL Sales Team. Improved system functionality, services and system capacity.

Hired to develop and execute an IT transformation at ACL Laboratories. The goal was to deliver a suite of laboratory applications with 99.9% availability. Redesigned and renovated the dedicated ACL IT infrastructure, data center, laboratory systems, change management processes, disaster recovery services, desktop support and help desk services. The team managed the ACL Data Center delivering laboratory applications to laboratories in 24 hospitals and 75+ clinics processing over 25 million lab tests annually. The department included 4 managers and 36 FTEs. Managed budgets from $5 to $12 million. • The team consistently met annual SLA of 99.9% systems availability in a 7x24x365 environment. • Developed and implemented IT strategy for infrastructure and high availability lab systems• Renovated data center and implemented fully redundant, high availability facilities• Implemented formal change management procedures and hired senior analyst to manage the process. Recruited by Manpower to design and implement a complex technology infrastructure to support a new front office system for over 800 North American field offices. Recruited employees and consultants to develop a high performing team to execute the project. Expanded the role from design, engineering and implementation to include operational management. Ultimately evolved to three departments with 35 FTEs. The management of the technology infrastructure included wide-area and local networks, 900+ Windows servers, 4000+ PCs and enterprise Internet services. Managed budgets from $3 to $18 million.

The Mobility Project was an internal initiative to enable sales professionals to work productively from their homes and/or corporate "hoteling" locations. The objective was to reduce the US sales office space by 50% and enable sales professionals to be productive in any location. Extensive process re-engineering was performed and married with laptop and networking technology to effectively support remote sales personnel. This project was conceived by a cross-functional team, then piloted and successfully deployed throughout the nine state Midwest Sales Region. The project was so successful the model was selected by management to deploy to all US sales locations.
