I started TS Manufacturing in 2015, and later opened a division called Tarps for Africa.We have a 225 square metre factory with steel fabrication and PVC sheeting conversion facilities. We have industry specific software for the design, FEA analysis and patterning of the PVC tensile membranes. We also manufacture standard PVC sheeting products such as tarpaulins, marquees, box covers, etc.We are in a growth phase and are looking for new clientele and products.

In this position my main task was to conceptualise, render, engineer, draw and oversee the fabrication and installation of the structural steelwork and PVC sheeting for tensile PVC membranes. This included for private households, restaurants, hotels, car dealerships, stadiums and many others.I also oversaw the technical aspect of the production side of the business and was responsible for creating a drawing archive of standard products.

I was a product development engineer in this role. Mainly localising components and reducing costs on components installed on the locally assembled vehicles, My main areas were HVAC (Heater, Ventilation and Air Conditioner), Exhaust, Radiator (and condenser), air conditioner and radiator pipes and hoses.

In this role, I supported the production / engineering / QA departments with measuring of concern and/or development parts, particularly stamping plant welded assemblies. The main project was supporting the engineering department for current localization program at the time.
