Originally hired as a Web Developer for Awaze UK (formerly Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK Ltd); parent company of Hoseasons, Cottages.com, James Villas and Awaze European companies Novasol and Landal Parks. After joining the team in a developer role team restructure led to creation of a dedicated applications support team and I was appointed as Team Lead to lead recruitment, process design, stakeholder management and integrating with the wider technology teams. I was directly responsible for a team of 7 multi-location team members and regularly managing offshore contracted staff. I was responsible for maintaining service for our core web platform and supporting services with web transaction volumes averaging 2-3k per hour and 10k in peak periods (evening peak, and continually sustained during peak holiday booking windows - January and early summer), and customer transaction volumes averaging 600 a day and peaking at 2k a day in January peak booking windows and surging to 6k a day following easing of travel restrictions in July 2020. Following purchase by a P.E and recognition of the need to revolutionise our technology functions I was a critical in leading creation of our product delivery squads, managing transition of knowledge and up-skill team members and wider business colleagues and creation of two core functional product teams.

Lead web developer for a pub management & financial services (providing back-office services for the owners of major national hospitality chains as well as managing suppliers and accounts for over 700 pubs). I was originally hired to design a web based sales reporting application for a major sportsbar brand, whilst delivering this I also took ownership of the web based payroll system used by a national roadside restaurant and fast food provider and LT’s ISDN phone system and replacing it with VoIP, desktop support for all office and remote staff and leading onboarding of services for any newly acquired pubs

Originally joining as a call centre agent providing mobile phone technical support for customers of Phones4u & Tesco Mobile, within 6 months I became a team lead and SME for android devices working closely with manufacturers and our repair factory to prepare documentation and scripts for call centre agents during the rise of the smartphone.. After saving Phones4u approx. £3.4 million in 12 months, a new team was created to design and develop a Returns Avoidance platform which could be used by call-centre agents, in-store staff and online by customers, providing a consistent user experience and reducing no-fault-found devices being returned to manufacturers and superfluous repairs to phones. After completing Microsoft developer training I became a critical team member, leading UI and UX design and development, assisting in RFQs and RFPs and presenting our solutions to prospective Network Operators and mobile phone retailers.
