Late in 2019, I left a role as IT Operations Manager in the NHS to start a Programme Management contract. Up to that point, I'd managed a great team of over 30 qualified and highly experienced engineers, based in offices across the North East and Derbyshire, with responsibility for the Network and Systems infrastructure across two Data Centres and over 400 end sites.Alongside spending 3 years managing Wireless installs in 24k units across 60 holiday parks, I was also able to expand my knowledge, networking with many new contacts to get the work done.I have used my 30-year career to consistently and progressively develop both engineering and people management skills.Self-motivated and with a can-do attitude, I’m highly organised and a quick learner. I also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills that perfectly compliment my calm, methodical and structured approach to work. I have a solid understanding of business-critical systems and high customer expectations. I’m strong technically with great analytical and problem-solving skills. I can resolve issues quickly and efficiently while minimising or removing the need for disruption wherever possible.I believe it is very important to motive my team, so they can deliver a great customer service.
