I am an experienced, customer focused lighting and electrical design engineer with 37 years experience in almost every role within the lighting and electrical industry. I have a passion for the technical aspects of lighting and enjoy teaching and passing on this knowledge.I was seconded to Durham CC on the county wide LED street lighting energy reduction project.I was lead designer on a County wide LED lantern replacment project in North East Lincolnshire in partnership with Cofely/J McCann.I have been engaged in PFI lighting design and consultancy firstly on the Dorset County Council Lighting PFI with SSEC and on the Croydon and Lewisham PFI with Jacobs/Skanska. I have experience of all aspects of this work from site survey to design to consultation with stakeholders and partners. I have designed the town centre lighting in Weymouth, Christchurch and Wimborne as well as numerous smaller towns/villages in Dorset.I joined Atkins Odlin/Mouchel in 2005, I gained a vast amount of experience working on HA, TfL, local Authority and PFI contracts as well as several projects for clients in the Middle EastI have worked on 4 Street Lighting PFI Bid Projects for Redcar and Cleveland, Dorset, Surrey and the Norfolk County Council PFI.In 2004 I Joined Scott Wilson & Kirkpatrick Ltd. I was employed there for 2 years, the bulk of which was spent on secondment to Derbyshire County Council atCounty Hall in Matlock. I gained a great deal of valuable experience in a varied role which included detailed designs for Traffic schemes, Development works and Estate Relighting Schemes. I was an Electrician and Technician/Project Manager at Sheffield City Council for 15 years.I was personally responsible for the project management of the Knockdown Replacement budgetand gained extensive project management experience on numerous commercial, industrial and residential development schemes as well as capital budget and LTP projects within Sheffield City Council.
