I am currently employed as a Business Support Analyst. This role involves working on products such as Life cover plans, Pension plans and Personal Bonds. My main role involves supporting my colleagues in Glasgow and Mumbai and making sure they are required to do their job effectively and efficiently. My job consists of various roles. Within these roles I must act as support to answer question in relation to any projects that they raise and I am allocated and make sure the information is factually correct due to the customer expectation as well as provide wording for my colleagues that will answer all of the customer’s queries first time round. To do my role I need to ensure that I am fully trained on the products I am helping administer and that I am also up to date with any Government regulations, especially with Pensions. The role I maintain involves myself and my team either working together or individually. I must be able to do both roles throughout the day.When assisting my colleagues I must also analyse the work we are getting for trends and potential incidents which need to be reported straight away to avoid more customer detriment. I need to be able to do this whilst supporting my colleagues. Another role is making sure procedures are up to date and are factually accurate. If there are any discrepancies I need to identify these and amend them within a set timeframe.I also need to liaise with other teams with regular meetings and discuss ongoing projects I am involved in. This is to make sure that the project is on the right path and everyone’s roles are being utilised.
