CurrentI am a Partner in the Employment Law Group at Barley, Snyder. I concentrate my practice in counseling clients in all aspects of employee benefits and ERISA, including the design and implementation of retirement and welfare benefit plans, HIPAA compliance, administration of retirement and welfare benefit plans, retirement planning and taxation of plan distributions and fiduciary law aspects of ERISA. Over 20 years experience as an adjunct professor of law at The Dickinson School of Law, Penn State University, where I developed and teach the Pension and Employee Benefits Law Course and is a recipient of the Edward C. First Adjunct Faculty Achievement Award.have provided expert testimony on behalf of the National Association of Manufacturers and the Corporate Health Care Coalition, before the United States Senate Subcommittee on Labor/HHS and Committee on Labor and Human Resources regarding ERISA and healthcare reform.Before joining Barley, Snyder, I was the Manager of Global Employee Benefits Compliance at AMP, Inc., where I oversaw the design and management of benefit programs worldwide. I also served as the benefits practice leader in Central Pennsylvania with an international accounting and consulting firm.I am a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA in accounting (with general honors) (June, 1982) and the University of Georgia School of Law (cum laude) (December, 1984) and hold a Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) (May, 1989) from Villanova University School of Law.
