Who would have thought that I would be back into the exciting world of plastic distribution. It's true what they say, it gets into your blood. I wasn't planning on it, but after a few years away from the industry, I could not resist the vision of Interstate Advanced Materials, the culture (all people) and the executive ownership and team.

I am the guy you call when you are tired of thinking small.With an MBA and a B.A. in Production & Operations Management, I have worked in the fields of production, operations, sales, marketing, procurement and corporate development with world-class organizations throughout the United States, Canada and Brazil. In addition to operating a business, I spent 17 years as a Corporate Trainer teaching sales, management and leadership skills. I developed a full online LMS “University” at one stop on my career journey.I believe in the adage that it is better to teach one to fish rather than simply giving them a fish. I practice that with clients, obsessed with helping them find and reach their businesses full desired potential. I care about making a difference and ask myself each night, “Did I earn one more tomorrow by the work I did today?”I am happily married with six beautiful grown children. I love community involvement, traveling with family, lifting weights and other exercises, swimming, and painting.

Polymershapes was a temporary extension of my work with North American Plastics, helping to grow the Dallas location improving profitability. Great leadership from CEO Kevin Short (now CEO of ORS Nasco and Medco.)

North American Plastics grew several-fold in the 17 years I was with the company as the Director of Corporate Development, involved with recruitment, training (developed "Laird University", an online LMS learning program), and operational excellence. Growth came from the outstanding leadership of CEO Mark Kramer (now retired), who brought the Marine core values of honesty, integrity, empowerment, hard work and continuous self-improvement to the culture.

Good company, I left to be closer to my aging parents on the other side of the country in their final days. Big pay cut to move, but one of the best decisions I ever made. RIP mom and dad.

With Goodyear, I was fortunate enough to hold several management positions in sales and operations throughout the US, Canada and Brazil. In Brazil I was also coordinator for the launching of a new tire line.
