CurrentResponsible for relicensing and implementation of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Hydropower licenses. Most recently, the development of FERC Preliminary Permit Applications and environmental study plans for pumped storage hydropower developments. Ongoing Projects:Pumped Storage Hydropower - Prepared two FERC Preliminary Permit Applications for pumped storage hydropower projects. Currently in study plan phase on both projects. Ashton Hydro Relicensing - Currently relicensing the Ashton Hydroelectric Project. Paris Hydro Project Decommissioning - Negotiated agreement for the removal of the project that included partial funding through a reduction in minimum stream flow at another PacifiCorp project. Removal is scheduled for 2024.Bear River Hydro Project - Responsible for implementation of environmental measures including: annual grant fund program; Implementation of historic property management plan and; land management plans. Completed Projects: Bear River Hydro License - Coordinated the completion of: Clean Water Act Section 401 Certification; Historic Property Management Plan; Bonneville cutthroat trout studies; whitewater studies including pre and post boater flow effects monitoring; fish stranding study and; water quality study. St. Anthony Hydro Project – Responsible for disposition of asset through a competitive RFP. Ashton Dam Reconstruction - Prepared FERC environmental report. Coordinated the development and implementation of a Reservoir Sediment and Bathymetry Study, 404 Permit, Spawning Gravel Assessment Plan and Water Quality Monitoring Plan.North Umpqua Hydro Project - Completed management plans with agencies for fire management, vegetation, aesthetics, recreation and wetlands. Implemented stream channel and wetland restoration projects. Lewis River Hydro Project - Managed study coordination for recreation, socioeconomics, aesthetics and cultural resources required for license application.
