Responsible for management, technical leadership, training and development of the Structural Assessment Group in our Bristol office. My responsibilities include:Technical and commercial leadership of projects across a diverse range of markets including nuclear and conventional power generation, marine, defence, aerospace and oil and gas.Monitoring and supervision of projects run within the Group to ensure requirements for quality, cost and timescales are managed within expectations.Short, medium and long term resource management; ensuring a balance is maintained between technical work, training, technical and business development.Development and implementation of the strategy with the aim of meeting the requirements of the company business plan. This includes (a) identifying and leading the development of technical capability through targeted recruitment and specifying private venture projects, (b) defining objectives for growth over the long term and (c) agreeing personal objectives for the individuals within the Group that will support the overall strategy.

Performed structural analysis of clients' assets using a combination of simulation, software tools, hand calculations and engineering judgement covering a diversity of scenarios. These included: modelling waveslam loading for high speed craft, defect tolerance of high integrity nuclear power plant and managing aircraft landing gear modifications.
