Space Systems Scientist
Radar Analyst
I work with high fidelity simulations of radar systems. My main areas of expertise are signal processing, statistical modeling, and RF wave mechanics. I have also been involved in aspects of software engineering aspects of the simulations, and strive to produce the clearest, highest-quality visualizations in subsequent analyses. I write code in C++, MATLAB, Mathematica, Bash, Javascript/HTML, and Python.
Graduate Research Assistant
I perform lattice QCD simulations on massive parallel architectures with the CalLat Collaboration. I also do data analysis and work on theoretical frameworks for nuclear physics and fundamental symmetries of nature.
Instructor
I taught a three week course on cosmology to talented high school students. I developed most of the course materials and homework problems from scratch.
Graduate Student Instructor
Courses taught include:-PHYS 8B: Electromagnetism, optics, and quantum mechanics for pre-meds-PHYS 7A: Intro to Newtonian and continuum mechanics for scientists/engineers-PHYS 137B: Second semester of quantum mechanics for upper level physics majors-PHYS C21: Physics and music, a service course for non-majors
Undergraduate Researcher
I spent two summers playing around with models for nuclear physics, including the Skryme model and the large Nc expansion of QCD. I wrote an honors thesis about my work with the Skryme model and its relation to nuclear matter.
