I was the 4th full-time employee at BitSight and have worn many hats over the years:-2 years working with Java, Hadoop, and HBase managing the collection, aggregation, analysis, and normalization of the different data sources that feed into BitSight’s big data ratings pipeline-10 years working with Python/Django and API development using Django REST Framework-5 years as an API Lead, standardizing API design guidelines, reviewing API proposals, optimizing performance of our endpoints, and making sure BitSight’s 500+ API’s are consistent, DRY, performant, and designed with direct-consuming customers and partner integrations in mind in addition to driving BitSight’s SAAS portal.-Designed a custom data aggregation pipeline for vulnerability detection using Airflow and PySpark running on Amazon EMR-5 years running BitSight’s Co-op program, hiring and managing over 15 undergraduate and graduate software co-ops-5-time award winner in BitSight’s annual hackathon
