Over the last 20 years of my career I have focused on improving my understanding of urban development impacts on receiving environments including groundwater, creeks, wetlands, rivers, estuaries and coastal lakes. I believe it is important to gain a good appreciation of the actual catchment processes occurring and associated receiving environment responses to ensure that any interventions in the catchment are well targeted.I am particularly interested in developing solutions that integrate the management of stormwater quality, flow regimes, flooding, riparian corridors, wastewater, recycled water and potable water conservation. Ensuring these solutions minimise development impacts on the natural environment, whilst also being financially sustainable to operate and maintain, are key goals of mine.
