ResponsibilitiesPart of a small team tasked with the design and implementation of a new, purpose built flagship National Distribution Centre for Multipart.AchievementsUsing data analysis techniques I was responsible for defining the storage requirements of circa 75,000 sku's.Using warehouse modelling software I was responsible for the design and specification of the internal layout of the DC to meet the needs of the strorage requirements.Assisted in the tender process for key elements such as Racking and MHE.Personally responsible for the design and implementation of a new small parts picking solution at a cost of circa £1.5m that handles 70% of the daily DC throughput.Following the design and implementation phases I managed the receiving end of the transfer process for 75,000 sku's being moved from our existing warehouse to the new DC.Trained as a 6 Sigma Black Belt.
