I have more than 16 years experience within the IT Industry. Initially starting as a Network Support Analyst at HBS Business Services where I was part of a small team supporting the Lincolnshire County Council voice and data network across 60 sites. While there I gained my CCNA and CCNP (Routing and Switching).I then spent 14 Years At Siemens as an Infrastructure Specialist where, as well as day to day support of the network and server infrastructure, I was involved in multiple high impact projects. This included included the design and implementation of upgrades to network and firewall infrastructure, implementation and then upgrades of a VMware infrastructure, design and rollout and subsequent upgrade of a Citrix Xenapp solution, implementing infrastructure for new sites including design and implementation of network infrastructure for the Disaster Recovery solution.I am comfortable working as part of a team or on my own with minimal supervision and have experience working with 3rd party providers to deliver new solutions or to troubleshoot production problems. I am happy either working in an office environment or working on customer sites or Data Centres.My main interests and skills revolve around Cisco Networking ( i have re-certified my CCNP every 3 years since 2003 and it is valid until 2023), Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco ASA firewalls and Netscaler Load balancers but I am always open to working with new or different networking technologies where I can learn new skills or further enhance my existing experience. I have recently returned to Siemens as a contractor to assist with a digitalisation project migrating on prem infrastructure to AWS cloud.
