ONG&ONG Experience Design was founded on the understanding that beautiful physical environments alone do not always equate successful experiences, but great experiences are an empathetic and innovative combination of places, people, and technology coming together as a compelling story. The studio works with clients to establish its story and strategy for memorableexperiences that emotionally engage its users and impacts culture. The studio provides acollective integrated expertise across architecture, interior design, brand creation,communication design, service design, film & story, framed by a design thinkingapproach centered on understanding human motivation and behaviour.Mark Wee is the Director of the ONG&ONG Experience Design studio. He is an architect, artist, and design thinker. An award-winning architect, his architectural projects have also won design awards such as the URA Heritage Award, Singapore Institute of Architects Design Award, the Interior Design Confederation (Singapore) Award, and the nation’s most prestigious President’s Design Award, amongst others. He has also represented Singapore at the Venice Architectural Biennale in 2008, the world’s oldest and most prestigious architectural exhibition.Mark has also coached numerous private and public sector organisations on using design thinking to solve difficult challenges, ranging from policy issues, to building innovation cultures, rethinking educational approaches, and even training future government leaders to be more empathetic.He studied architecture at Cornell University, and also speaks and teaches regularly on both architectural design, design thinking, and service innovation.
