While Mark was still maintaing a top 10 percentile spot in his wireless sales career he was also rapidly progressing through his leaders in training program. After his first interview with the district team he was fast-tracked through the Introductory Leadership Program right to Department Sales Manager in Training (DSM-IT) and within 1 week of his program completion was promoted to a full time sales manager, assistant to the Store Manager. In this time Mark had also grown an employee of his own to complete the Introductory Leadership Program which is 1 out of a 4 part program to management.

Mark was ranked number 2 in western canada for wireless sales in 2011, having one of the highest extended warranty attach rate in the company. He Won a trip for 2 to Jamaica for his performance. Wireless is the biggest profit driver in Future Shop and Mark was able to put his store into the top 10% in all of Canada. In 2012 Mark was awarded with the "Brad Anderson Legacy Award" which he received for outstanding performance and living company values. The award entailed a luxury watch and shares in the company.

Mark was a top 10 category salesman and was chosen for the opportunity to open up a brand new department in late 2009. The new department was Cell Shop and turned out to be the company's biggest asset.
