As an experienced executive with demonstrated capability in delivering both bottom and top line performance across complex, dynamic and multi-disciplined business environments, I am pleased to hold the role of General Manager – Group Supply Chain & Distribution Centres with Steel & Tube. Prior to joining the steel industry, I worked across distribution, retail, construction, technology and FMCG industries with a focus on supply chain, digital strategy, contracts management, financial, legal, risk management and more. In my FMCG days, a highlight was being a part of the team who brought PAK’nSAVE’s New Zealand-famous Stickman to life in his various forms across the country. My depth of experience across a range of industries and roles allows me to bring a fresh approach to a traditional industry. My role with Steel & Tube is focused on the development and implementation of end-to-end supply chain practices, including integrated business planning, warehouse and distribution centre management and network design, including capacity management.With nationwide reach, Steel & Tube has a vast network of distribution and manufacturing centres that service local catchments across the country. As a result, transport and logistics management is central to Steel & Tube’s ability to deliver for our customers. Throughout my career, I’ve held responsibility for M&A, transformational change, new business and high growth strategies. This has involved identification, due diligence, development and implementation of associated work programmes to deliver the identified benefits and desired performance outcomes. Experience with all levels (governance, strategy, commercial and operations management) of various operating models (e.g. owner/operator, franchise, joint venture, co-operative and corporate) allows me to consider and design and apply the best model for a particular circumstance – particularly important when considering the business and regional landscape across Aotearoa New Zealand.As the steel industry becomes increasingly digitised, my team and I are focused on streamlining processes to make it as easy as possible for our customers to partner with us.
