As the Associate Dean for Finance, Administration, and Strategy, I provide leadership and direction to the fiscal and administrative operations within the Charles J. Widger School of Law, serving as the Chief Operations/Financial Officer and playing a lead role in driving strategic initiatives. I am responsible for conducting analysis, creating proposals, and developing systems to secure and enhance the use of financial, staffing, physical plant, information technology, and administrative resources in support of the Law School's mission. I oversee the development of the School's operating and capital budgets, implement plans for the cost-effective use of existing resources, and identify opportunities for the development of new resources as needed. I provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction to key strategic initiatives that are top priorities for the Law School and facilitate strategic planning activities, including annual priority setting, strategic plan refreshes, and Law School diversity, equity, and inclusion activities. I oversee the Law School’s data collection, analysis, and reporting needs, including annual ABA and USNWR reporting, and faculty/staff/student climate surveys to support data-driven decision-making across the Law School. I collaborate regularly with other departments at the University including the Office of the Provost, Financial Affairs/Budget, Controller's Office, Facilities Management, Human Resources, Procurement, Risk Management, General Counsel, and Information Technology, ensuring open communication and full support of and compliance with University-wide initiatives, policies, procedures, and protocols.
