Current Provide administration, advocacy, strategic planning and public policy oversight to 20 Small Business Development Centers in Oregon. Represented the OSBDCN thru advocacy to the Oregon Legislature, Congress, governmental agencies, small business, bankers and economic development agencies. Negotiated $1.2 million four year proposal with the Oregon Public Utilities Commission to expand statewide broadband usage. Developed a strategic partnership with The Ford Foundation that lead to the successful implementation of specialized small business services to rural Oregon. Negotiated and co-authored private sponsorship requests on behalf of the OSBDCN with Palo Alto Software ($150K in-kind sponsorship award over three years, the largest in our organization’s history), US Bank (SOU Market Research Institute proposal for $53K over two years) and obtained multiple sponsorships with other financial institutions. Provide strategic plan design, training, communication, management/operations assistance and budget oversight to the OSBDCN. Successfully proposed and administered multiple new grant applications that cumulatively gained over six million dollars in new awards within six years. Designed, implemented, monitored and reported on specialized small business assistance services. Services focused on high growth traded sector companies, international trade, government contract procurement, business technologies (e-commerce/e-operations), small business capital needs, market research, international trade, government contractors and Veteran small business needs. Implemented an advanced management information system with multiple scorecards and metrics assignable by project, to over 140 employees within 19 centers. Planned and developed online learning platforms, planning tools and various CRM and MIS systems. Developed and sustained a number of statewide specialized business assistance services.
