Oversaw all aspects of projects, to enhance the core condition monitoring software, from their inception to their delivery. Including interfacing with stakeholder, customers (internal and end users), the development team, quality assurance and technical publications. Managed and organized the tasking for individuals and groups. Including the management of offshore contractors and offsite employees located in multiple time zones and across different cultures. Projects utilized both waterfall and agile (Scrum) development methodologies. I lead the team in the role of scrum master as well as project manager. The software interfaced to devices that monitored and collected vibration data from industrial machines. The software was a multi-tier application that utilized either Oracle or MS SQL Server database engines. The software interfaced to devices that monitored and collected vibration data from industrial machines. I was the manager of up to 10 software engineers. Responsibilities included goal setting, creating individual development plans, conducting annual performance reviews, and coaching the employees on how to handle difficult situations. Provided mentoring and support as necessary. I worked with the development staff to implement a continuous process improvement program.Led the transformation from waterfall development methodology to agile (scrum) development practices. Involved with the creation and building of a users group conference. Lead advanced training sessions each year of the conference. The conference grew from 25 people to over 200.

Microsoft Windows based application written in C++, COM, MFC connecting to Oracle and SQL server database engines. The software was the primary condition monitoring software that interfaced to a multitude of devices allowing users to collect vibration readings for the hundreds of ball bearings on big industrial machinery.

Worked on several projects from military Mission Planning systems to multi-media commercial based products. Responsibilities included requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, bug fixing and release management. Interfaced directly with customers. Applications written in C++, C and Ada. Defense oriented projects followed 2167A standards.
