♣ Led Tabcorp’s acquisition and integration of OneTab, a mobile bar tab application. I identified the business opportunity and made the first contact with the founders. The strong relationship that I forged with them was integral to their retention for a further 12 months. I led the structuring of the offer, shaped the paper for board approval, assisted the successful negotiation then led the business and technical integration, project-managed the market relaunch and handed over to new hires for continued operations.♣ Enhanced the Salesforce platform to support the full sales lifecycle of the OneTab solution. This facilitated the rapid sell-in to hundreds of venues to exceed launch targets.♣ Authored a strategy paper for the digital transformation of the large TAB retail network that realigned troubled work streams and proposed a ‘fail fast’ innovation framework. This paper became a founding pillar of a broader “Future Retail” program of work that I helped conceive to lower the cost to serve customers while increasing visitation, participation and spend. ♣ Discovered and built sound relationships with market-leading partners (eg Google and Telstra) to develop breakthrough technology for location-attestation and device management in retail.♣ Conceived and led the “Future Retail” digital stream from inception through to deployment of innovative market-leading digital touch-points for 3,000+ locations, displacing aging legacy technology and providing the foundation for superior omni-channel customer experiences in retail for years to come.♣ Wrote persuasive business cases that were approved for over $15M investment.Connected otherwise disparate divisions of the business to cooperate on innovation and go to market operations. This included leveraging skills in regional offices with Sydney or Melbourne-led initiatives.

This innovative consumer group buying start-up has active campaigns in the Australian and Irish markets in Energy,Insurance and Financial Services industries.I co-produced several incredibly popular campaigns including the Big Health Insurance Switch, the Big Queensland Electricity Switch, the Life Insurance Switch and launched the Big Insurance Switch.At a technology level, I brought rigour to the development and testing teams resulting in higher quality releases and improved site functionality. I also won praise with the Amazon Web Services team for successfully replicating a fully-working production environment in Ireland (from Sydney) in 48 hours.

I evaluated, designed, project managed and successfully launched the replacement core business system (MS Dynamics NAV) from idea to fruition in 3 years. This major project touched the entire business including financial accounts, buying & replenishment, warehousing & logistics, merchandising and in-store retail operations. I led a high-calibre team of business analysts and worked with solution partners that ensured project success.All this while maintaing business as usual for the largest independent fresh food retailer in Australia, managing a team that supported 22 retail stores and 1,000 staff in New South Wales.

OptiMix was India's first multi-manager mutual fund, backed by ING Bank (Amsterdam). It had chosen the WealthPoint platform (see below) as one of its core systems. I was asked to lead the rapid roll out of all systems in time for large media campaigns.My role included milestone planning and implementation of core systems including funds management, call centre operations and implementation of IT infrastructure for the India-wide branch network. We enjoyed a swift yet robust IT implementation, leveraging local and global outsource providers such as Wipro, TCS, Tata Indicom, FinEng & Talisma.After 8 months of rigorous agile development, reporting to regional & global heads, glitzy product launches, hands-on user training and sales roadshows, I recruited my successor to move the business from start-up phase to consolidation.

WealthPoint developed a web-based financial advisory back office & practise management solution.I project-managed the offshore development of the product, then hired and led an in-house team to enhance as part of a game-changing deal with ING / OptiMix (see above). Until that deal, the founder and I consulted to fund the development, including:- A major Australian bank to review strategies for mortgage processing- A major Australian insurer going live with "Single Customer View" where I led the 'Initial Load' team.- An Australian taxi industry supplier to develop a market-first taxi-dispatch system, developed on the (then) new Microsoft .net mobile stack running over GPRS (TCP over GSM). - If you've read this far, I'll buy you a beer.
