Teacher / Teacher Trainer / Child Protection Focal Point / Summer School Courses Coordinator
I was a valuable member of a small team of teachers and teacher trainers. I led the child protection project where I was integral to the ‘buy in’ of the teachers, CS, exams and projects to the British Council's work linked to the regional Child Protection Awareness programme. I delivered child protection training to all staff as well as set up online access for members who could not attend. I carried out all aspects of my role in a professional and timely manner. In Lebanon, I delivered TKT Essentials Module 1, 2 and 3 to UNRWA primary and secondary school teachers in the Beddawi and Nahr al-Bared camps in Northern Lebanon. For many of the teachers it was their first encounter with communicative teaching methodologies. The training was conducted in a challenging environment of power cuts and political unrest in the local area. In feedback, almost 80% of trainees gave the course 8 or more out of ten. All agreed that the training ‘met my expectations’ and was ‘a high quality event’After the training course I conducted over 30 developmental observations of the course participants. I provided guidance with methodology, lesson planning and implementation. I also needed to keep clear records of each observation. At the end of the observations I identified key areas where further development was needed and delivered a further training session based on the participants developmental needs. Feedback from UNRWA was very positive.I led the young learner summer school project. I wrote course outlines and objectives, syllabi and materials for the centre's summer school, and followed through by email and meetings to ensure all summer school teachers were fully informed. This resulted in the smooth running of the summer school courses without any problems during the term.
Teacher / Teacher Trainer
I delivered general English, business English, academic English and young learner courses at all levels of competence. I also delivered offsite business English courses at local companies and universities, such as Osaka University and Thammasat University in Bangkok. In Thailand I co-ordinated young learner courses in the Bangkok centre, which involved creating lessons, providing training in teaching young learners and giving inductions to new teachers.

Media Executive
During my time at Zenith Media, I worked as a media executive on the Pedigree Masterfoods and Calsberg accounts. In my job I worked on TV advertising campaigns. My role involved choosing the best TV programmes for the product and negotiating the best positions in the commercial break, such as centre breaks and first in commercials. This required excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a thorough knowledge of the brand image and target market.
