Where will problem-solving take you?In 2009 we were asked if we would collaborate on a project for the composites industry to help deliver a product for the UK’s transport infrastructure. It was a print-related question (which is right up our street) but the answer took us deep inside cutting edge technologies across several industry sectors.The need for confidentiality was paramount but taking a peek behind the scenes of some of the world’s most innovative companies and working closely with some brilliant people was and still is a privilege. For those who think we don’t make things in Britain anymore, think again. We still lead the world in design and processes innovation and that is very comforting to know. But the key to these ideas working is still down to getting the right people in the right place at the right time.Confidentiality prevents me from divulging the project but if you are reading this on a train speeding you to a meeting or to meet loved ones, have a look around you and ask yourself “I wonder who made that?”.
