- Led analysis of warranty and scrap cost data to identify trends in failing parts/kits. Employed methods such as 5 Whys to get to root cause. Proposed possible short-term and long-term solutions to CEO and upper management with a projected annual savings of $100,000 with all solutions implemented.- Designed 3-in-1 custom brake press tooling for part to address safety concerns brought about by operators. Identified additional opportunity to reduce costs and fabrication time. Improved tooling to reduce number of bends by 40%, resulting in an annual savings of $10,000.- Spearheaded a Capital Appropriation Request and cost benefit analysis for a $40,000 MATE Premia Sharpening System. Leveraged Excel to compare various models and visualize initial ROI within 2 years before presenting to upper management. Realized installation of sharpening system and immediate reduction in tooling waste.
