I currently serve as a transmission substation design engineer for SP EnergyNetworks Major Projects team.As part of this role, I am responsible for the Main Plant design aspects of both green and brownfield sites at 33 kV, 132 kV, 275 kV and 400 kV.

Being self-employed meant that I had to keep open and concise lines of communication with my clients and associates at all times which in turn, required punctuality and that I managed my time as efficiently as possible. Personal Responsibilities included negotiating and acquiring contracts and regularly liaising with clients as well as carrying out electrical works in a safe manner.

I was fortunate enough to be granted the opportunity to work alongside the United States Military as a civilian contractor in Afghanistan.My role as an Electrical Supervisor required that I delegated tasks outlined by the foremen to the local and international electricians working at the base as well as carrying out extensive inspection and testing work. The work carried out was required to meet both the British Standard BS7671 and the American NEC wiring regulations.
