I worked in Coláiste Mhuire for 3 years as a Maths and P.E. teacher, as well as coordinating IT initiatives in the school. I taught all year groups (1st - 6th year) at both Ordinary level and Higher level Maths. My experience of teaching remotely during this period highlighted the inequality that is present in education when it comes to technology, and the huge gaps in digital literacy that are present in DEIS schools. I was able to expand greatly what digital learning experiences are available in Coláiste Mhuire, project managing initiatives such as the Technology Club (Club Teicneolaiochta), STEM Passport for inclusion and Microsoft DreamSpace academy. My primary motivation for these initiatives has been to create dynamic learning opportunities that unlock the untapped potential of my students, fostering a passion for technology and equipping them with the necessary skills for an increasingly digital world.

Worked part time with this educational consultancy to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive and innovative workshops tailored for educators, focusing on both online and in-person formats. Utilised adult learning principles to ensure effective learning transfer and engagement.Developed a wide range of learning resources, including interactive e-learning modules, instructional videos, and comprehensive presentations. Employed a variety of multimedia tools and instructional design methodologies to cater to different learning styles and needs.Established robust feedback mechanisms to gather insights from educators post-workshops. Analysed responses to continually refine and improve the quality and impact of the workshops and learning materials.

In summer 2023 I participated in the STEM Teacher Internship programme facilitated by Dublin City University, placing teachers in STEM industry roles to gain insight into career pathways and future skills capabilities to enhance student learning experiences in the classroom.I acted as PMO support to a large-scale infrastructural change project for a water utilities company. As part of the business readiness team, I helped to set up a model office to iteratively test the new solution and worked closely with the L&D work stream to re-train staff on new technical infrastructure.I was also project lead in the EY annual sustainability challenge that tasked 20 teams with developing and presenting solutions to over 300 EY employees. We achieved 2nd place in the finals, presenting on the role of businesses in Ireland’s biodiversity crisis. I was personally commended by senior partners for my strong communication and presentation skills.
