Mark has functioned in senior executive leadership roles with Hastings Deering for almost a decade, overseeing strategy, marketing, technology, resource industries and operations. Following a period as Chief Operating Officer, Mark stepped into the role of CEO and Managing Director in July 2021. Mark leads by example and prioritises the empowerment of people to advance an inclusive and supportive environment at Hastings Deering. A passionate executive, he prides himself on guiding his team towards a clear, innovative, and unified vision and purpose. Prior to joining Hastings Deering, Mark held leadership roles at several international, blue-chip companies. Mark has more than 25 years industry and international experience in countries including China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and North America. Mark is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, graduating its flagship Advanced Management Program in 2017. He also holds a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales as well as a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong.
