Works closely with the Company commander to establish training schedules and evaluate the combat readiness of the platoon and its members. The platoon commander oversees all training conducted by the platoon sergeant. In addition to ensuring that the troops in the platoon are proficient in operating the various weapons and other equipment assigned to them.
