Led ASAP’s growth & evolution from a small-town accounting service based in Telluride, Colorado into a state-wide leader with offices in Durango, CO, Golden, CO, Telluride, CO & clients throughout the Western Slope & mountain communities. Always with an eye on helping entrepreneurs, small businesses and non-profits solve their accounting & HR headaches. After 18 years leading ASAP’s payroll & HR operations, current focus on helping ASAP’s executive team succeed by providing the visionary leadership necessary to achieve ASAP’s longer-term goals. After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, spent a little over a year teaching English in Madrid before moving to San Francisco at the tail-end of the first .com boom. While in San Francisco, first joined a funded start-up called LocalVoice learning a great deal from the founders and co-workers. Having worked in restaurants throughout college, spent a bit of time working in a popular Cole Valley coffee shop gaining exposure to a more diverse side of the city’s people & culture. After leaving San Francisco in late 2001, went to work at my family’s business hoping to enjoy a ski season or two before returning to tech. The uniqueness of Telluride, the work-life balance, and the ability to create a professional career helping so many interesting people solve their business challenges has been very fulfilling. Learning & creating keep me engaged and enjoying family, friends, and travel continue to excite.
