I have over 20 years experience in the wine and spirits industry. I began my career as a Sales Assistant in Harrods progressing to the Assistant Manager position after less than 2 years. I moved on to work with several Wine Wholesalers where I was able to use my sales experience but also broaden my knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the wine and spirits industry including buying, sales and marketing.As much as I have a passion for selling wines of quality and interest, I always keep in mind a commercial perspective. There is nothing better than creating a wine list that allows customers to be introduced to something other than Pinot Grigio and Merlot.With 20+ years’ buying and sales skills and experience in the wine trade, I bring energy, enthusiasm and fresh ideas to every new role. I enjoy immensely the varied and challenging nature of my current role being involved in the buying, selling and promotion of our wine and spirits offering while also being able to contribute directly to the success of the Vineking through building relationships with customers at wine tasting events and in our stores. I am highly motivated and an effective communicator who thrives under pressure in a dynamic and targeted environment. With exceptional negotiating skills, I am also pro-active in creating new opportunities and revenue streams with the drive to be make them a success.
