Network Architect

* Managed 28 member team in multi-discipline area including voice and data infrastructure* Responsible for global network operations including 95 sites and 60,000 employees. * Uptime and assurance of network which delivered 1.6 billion minutes of Voice over IP in 2007.

Managed a team of six data network engineers and served as the resident expert for Data POP network installations during dotcom boom. Created workflow tool using Microsoft Outlook as single input to engineering for tracking work assignments, projects and completed projects. Authored time tracking software for engineering to report productivity, projects, milestones and work effort counts. Employed Microsoft Access as an application front end and Microsoft SQL server. Output from this tool provided a multi-dimensional view of productivity of my team.

Responsible for voice and data networks. Four sites in three states with 26 servers including Windows NT, Exchange, Proxy and SQL servers. Used Gauntlet firewalls. Migrated enterprise from Netware to NT domains. Implemented multi-site call centers using Lucent phone switches. Streamlined trouble reporting process. Negotiated lower rates for long distance, pager and cellular phone vendors saving the company $27M annually.

Onsite & remote support for over 1000 employees across 13 states. Troubleshooting & repair of PCs and MAC computers, responsible for network configuration, documentation, operation and performance.Networks: Token Ring, Ethernet, IBM SNA/3270, AS/400 and AppleTalk. Banyan Vines network.
