My name is Marta and I have graduated in July 2022 with a BSn in Game Art from BUAS, specializing as a 3D Environment and Prop Artist. At the end of 2022, I decided to switch my career into Front End Development and started self learning in order to find a traineeship and my first opportunity in the Netherlands.🌟 A little about my background:- Interned at Codeglue (Rotterdam, NL) as a 3D Environment Artist.- Worked with the scrum workflow throughout my years in my game development study.- Worked with teams of various sizes and disciplines, which required good communication and collaboration.- A lot of problem solving, teamwork and user experience was also involved through my studies.- Started to self learn within Front End Development in December 2022, starting with HTML and CSS, and later going into JavaScript as well.- Worked with Perforce, Git (Sourcetree) for version control in all our projects.- Eager to continue learning and growing within Front End by looking for a traineeship and my first opportunity!I am a passionate, friendly, helpful and always ready for a challenge and learning opportunities as a professional. In the initial months at DTACT, I pursued the Front End Career Path offered by Codecademy, which included: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, Responsive Design, and HTTP Requests.This has been supplemented by additional coursework in Bootstrap, TypeScript, and Sass. This immersive learning experience equipped me with the essential foundational knowledge required for success in the field.As of the end of August 2023, I successfully completed the core components of the course and transitioned into my role as a full-time Junior Front End Developer at DTACT. Worked for the project Spellbenders on:- Move environment assets from Unity to Unreal 4- Optimization of all environment assets present on the map- Creation (through several iterations and testing) of new texturing art style in Substance Designer mainly, and Painter for props- First time creation of important Master Materials and Blueprints- Creation of Stylized fire VFX (environmental) in Niagara- Set dressing the scene according to the previous map and some freedom as well- Set dressing and rework of textures (color, etc) according to new concept art and theme- Documentation of process to achieve the results in texturing and new pipeline (Art Bible)Outside of Spellbenders I worked on other things under NDA and participated in the company's Game Jam.
