Being Site Manager Applications & Infrastructure at Volvo Cars Engine (VCE) includes a direct responsibility for daily operations in the IT area. Full responsibility for handling the application and infrastructure support to production entities SkEP (Skövde), Floby and ECG (Engine Center Gent). Parts of the application support are also targeted towards CEP (China Engine Plant, Zhangjiakou). This means that the day to day business covers both the EMEA and APAC region.Organization managed, four teams:- Enterprise Resource and Planning (ERP)- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)- Product Lifecycle Management & Business Applications - Local Infrastructure & End User Support (EUS, LAN, Hosting)Main responsibilities:- Daily operations in the IT area, covering manufacturing sites (SkEP, Floby and ECG)- Parts of the daily operations in the engine plant in China Zhangjiakou - Implementation and operation of application and technology portfolios, including infrastructure- Financial and HR management within the department- Opportunities to champion enterprise IT initiatives throughout organization - Executive level communications- Service level strategy and implementation - Health of portfolio, review of key metrics and implementation of improvement actions - Accountable for the sites compliance to security and control standards, the company's IT architecture standards, And appropriate use of Company IT processes, tools and methodologies- Operational communication and feedback between business and IT partners - Conduct operating reviews of the SkEP, Floby and ECG application and technology portfolio, including infrastructure- Participation in development of application and/or technology strategy- Share best practices with other sites and functions- Drive implementation of corporate/IT initiatives within the organization

The position covered the following responsibilities:- Team Leader for a local Infrastructure team (EUS, LAN, Hosting)- Forecasting and budgeting of the complete infrastructure area, covering four different manufacturing sites (Skövde, Floby, Uddevalla, Bulycke)- Assist in the procurement (sourcing) of infrastructure services within Group IT (IONG), as responsible for the Factory Support tower towards all manufacturing sites globally- Responsible for parts of the Infrastructure blueprint in early stages of the industrialization project in China (covering the China Engine Plant in Zhangjiakou)- Responsible for requirements specification towards suppliers, when building the new datacenter in Skövde during 2005-2006- Plan the daily work within the infrastructure area- Assist central functions to optimize their deliveries, rollout of new services, schedule changes, etc.- Host meetings on Operational and Tactical level- Interface between IT and business for all Infrastructure solutions delivered towards four manufacturing sites (Skövde, Floby, Uddevalla, Bulycke)- During 2011-2014 active member of the Local Incident Manager (LIM) team within VCE- Prepare and manage IT changes (change), to safeguard VCE business operations and ensure trouble-free deployments and minimal business disturbance/impact- Lifecycle management of infrastructure equipment- Evaluations and reviews of new and existing suppliers (RFI, SLA, OLA, KPI)- Identify when centrally developed solutions can be applied, and create local adaptations when deemed necessary to meet local business demands- Support/Guide business, when affected by new processes, tools, roles etc. within the IT organization- BA and SME in the infrastructure area, towards business and internally within Group IT- Collaborate with IT Service Owners (mainly within IMS/ITS, but also within other functions i.e. DPS, BDS and Purchasing)

Assignment involved Implementation of tools and workflows to support the SOx Act.Short list covering some of the tasks/responsibilities:- Implementation of S-Ox solutions within application projects at the Powertrain site in Skövde- Identify and escalate deviations, i.e. where centrally developed solutions not could be implemented locally for any reason- Plan and train local IT staff in new S-Ox processes and tools- Support the business if/when affected by new S-Ox processes and tools within the IT organization- In addition to the S-Ox Project: Actively manage ongoing quality assurance projects carried out towards external customers

The assignment covered the following tasks/responsibilities: - Development of web sites/pages within the VCE IT function (covering multiple manufacturing sites: Skövde, Floby, Bulycke and ECG)- Analyze IT and business operating procedures, and create audit reports- Identify any security weaknesses in IT systems and daily routines used at the site- Create S-Ox compliant procedures, mainly within the IT organization, but also within the business unit- Implement common processes within the areas access control and application change- Create compensating controls for any identified gaps- Participate in joint company S-Ox networks- Train IT and business personnel in new S-Ox process and tools- Design new best practices and assist the organization with needed adaptations- Work with suppliers to create cost effective S-Ox compliant procedures- Administrate any gaps recorded on the site, related to IT policy compliance- Act as technical advisor and SME to current Senior Infrastructure Site Manager VCE

As Pressroom Foreman you are responsible for the planning of production, and are responsible for all contacts between customers and production.I.e: Calculation of time taken for various projects, benefits, planning of staff and machinery, training of staff, purchase of equipment, service and maintenance of machines.To have a good technical knowledge is essential. You have to keep up with changes in the technical field to suggest improvements both in methodology and technology. You have to be well versed in digital technology, since the machines are mostly computerized.
