About Martha Rush

Martha Rush is an internationally recognized high school economics, entrepreneurship and social studies teacher and an active teaching advocate, recently named a Fulbright Teacher of Global Classrooms (2021). In addition to her 25+ years in the classroom, she is Founder and CEO of NeverBore, an education consulting and content company that delivers premium curriculum and high-engagement workshops for a variety of educational partners. Martha is also the author of Beat Boredom: Engaging Tuned-Out Teenagers (Stenhouse, 2018) and the Quarter Zero Handbook for Young Founders (2020), as well as a host of published lessons, workbooks and teachers' guides. Martha has deep expertise in creating classroom environments that facilitate critical thinking skills as well as deep understanding of core concepts. Having led multiple student teams to championships and finalist positions at various Economics and Entrepreneurship competitions, Martha is an authority in methods that actualize the potential in students to achieve at the highest levels. She is the lead consultant for AP Microeconomics and the lead AP Daily Instructor for Microeconomics. She served on the Minnesota Social Studies Standards Review Committee (2020-21) and is a member of the Minnesota Investment Advisory Council. Martha holds a Masters in Education Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania School of Education, a Masters in History from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
