About Martin Leonard

Petromac supplies a patented conveyance system for open-hole wireline logging tools. Since 2011 we have been supporting our clients to resolve the mechanical issues that have plagued wireline logging for over 40 years. Obstructions formed by ledges, washouts and cuttings debris are easily navigated and conventional wireline logging is feasible in very high angle wells. High logging tensions, tool stick-slip and differential sticking are virtually eliminated with resulting gains in operational efficiency. The system enhances log data quality with tool sensors run in the optimal configuration and orientation. Sampling can be undertaken from the “undamaged” high side of the wellbore. We are a global business and to date have worked in New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam, Caspian Sea, South China Sea, Kuwait, Ivory Coast and in the challenging conditions of the Gulf of Mexico. Whilst working in the Gulf of Mexico, Petromac received endorsement from the world’s biggest wireline logging company, Schlumberger, which has used numerous Tool Taxis and Guides to overcome challenges in this area.Talk to us today to speak with one of our expert global wireline logging conveyance staff. For more information you can visit our website http://www.petromac.co.nz/

Engineered for open-hole, and focused on optimising log data quality, the Petromac conveyance system is best in its class. We have developed a patented conveyance system that enables sophisticated surveying devices (logging tools) to traverse the most difficult wellbores. Our system comprises a wheeled carrier, or Tool Taxi, that clamps onto the outside of the surveying device, and a guide with a ski tip that fits into the bottom of the device, which is lowered by wire into the wellbore. Our focus is to revolutionise the logging and analysing of wellbores. We provide accurate and detailed information, to descend in situations not penetrable without the Tool Taxi. The Tool Taxi is tried and tested around the world, and we are currently operating in the Gulf of Mexico, Caspian Sea, South China Sea, Kuwait, Ivory Coast and Australasia.
