E. Martin Walker, PhD, grew up in 7 countries mostly in Latin America. Since working in community development in South Asia, he has 35 experience as a psychoanalytic, family and group psychotherapist in New York and New Jersey. As psychoanalyst and organizational consultantat wawhite.org, his work as ranged from tech startups, to public housing, as well as social trauma relief on Vieques, Puerto Rico, immediately after Hurricane Maria. His doctoral research on cultural identity and intergroup relations led to a Fulbright Scholar Award(Mexico) in 1992. His current bi-lingual psychotherapy practice incorporates evidenced based treatments with contemporary psychoanalytic practices and body/mind perspectives drawn from world wisdom traditions. A longtime working partner of Social Dreaming developer, Gordon Lawrence, he contributed to the design of the facilitator role, initiated socialdreaming.com, and is currently a director of the Centre for Social Dreaming.
