As director of my own software testing company, I hold a number of executive responsibilities, as well as managing and mentoring a tight knit team of talented developers and testers in the highly pressured startup space.Through BugFinders I am offering a community-based service that provides free tools and training for the software testing sector.With software playing an increasingly bigger role in businesses and entrepreneurs paying more attention to the quality of their software, I am providing vertical solutions to all bug-related problems.

I provided Senior Software Testing accounability reporting to IT Director level. I had accountabliity for a team of 55 consultants and defined strategy for both automation and manual/functional testing.The role involved working closely with development teams and typically ran projects in a magnitude of £10million +. My main accomplishment was a proposal to trim 20% from the testing budget when cuts were introduced, which was delivered without staff loss or compimise of testing quality.

My time at Nationwide allowed me to familiarise myself with a financial and highly proactive role, which involved working within a small project team and meeting stringent deadlines. Key responsibilities included working on the Mortgage Sales system and leading the Procuration fees project.

This wide-ranging position allowed me to develop my delegation skills, as I played a key role in process improvement and inducted standardisation across the test team. I also held a leading role on Linux-based testing projects, including a maintenance project with responsibility for 8 testers.

I joined Metric Group at a time when there were no documented tests for Windows software. As a result, I played a highly innovative role in creating a brand new test library, including test plans, specifications procedures and test cases. I also held regulatory responsibilities in the supervision of colleagues during testing, development and bug tracking activities.
