As a trial lawyer, my practice focuses on winning complex business disputes for a diverse group of clients and industries, including tech, healthcare, real estate, private equity, oil and gas, professional services, and retail. I have won trials and appeals for clients like BP, Bixby Bridge Capital, 3i Group, Blackstone, and Sycamore Partners and always strive to achieve efficient and commercial outcomes, whether through trial, motion practice, or negotiated settlements.I serve as lead trial counsel in privacy class action cases, M&A deal-related litigation, and in a wide array commercial disputes involving public companies, private equity sponsors, and portfolio companies. I also lead the Firm’s transactional risk insurance claims team, which has assisted clients in evaluating and making Rep & Warranty insurance claims, resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in recoveries. I am honored to have been recognized as Litigator of the Week by the American Lawyer and as an "Illinois Super Lawyer," and having served on the ABA's Business Law Section Host Committee and on Law 360's Illinois Editorial Advisory Board. I serve on Firmwide committees related to Kirkland's trial advocacy and litigation attorney training and associate development. When not trying cases, I devote significant time to community service. I am a board member for Friends of Prentice (the fundraising board supporting Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital), mentor diverse law students through the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, and previously served as President of the American Jewish Committee’s ACCESS Chicago board. I also enjoy traveling and playing and watching sports with my wife, twin sons, and daughter.
