Supported the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit at Nebraska Medicine and the NBU Leadership Team. Assisted team of Subject Matter Experts with response to further strengthen the nation's infectious disease capacity through funding from U.S. Health and Human Services and Hospital Preparedness Programs. Grant funding was provided from ASPR and CDC to develop the National Ebola Training Education Center (NETEC) to prepare the U.S. health care system to safely assess and care for patients with highly infectious diseases. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services in partnership with Nebraska Medicine - Nebraska Medical Center was named as HHS Region 7's special regional treatment center for patients with Ebola or other severe, highly infectious diseases.

Provided leadership and fundraising knowledge to corporations participating in United Way of the Midlands annual fundraising campaign. Helped Omaha employers plan, implement and conduct successful workplace giving campaigns. Served as a local advocate conveying the needs of the community and delivering the message of United Way's undertaking as a community to address those needs.
