I am a third year student at Indiana University's O'Neill School of Public Health, majoring in Financial management. I have a passion for problem solving, decision making, and collaborating with others. I have demonstrated these strengths in a variety of positions, beginning in high school with my positions as captain of my rugby team and member of the National Honor Society. In these leadership and collaboration roles, I worked with people coming to me to help them increase their skills within rugby, and used my collaboration skills to benefit others through National Honor Society. By the end of my high school career, I helped bring my high school club rugby team to state 3 times, making second place once. Within National Honor Society, I had gained over 40 hours of service throughout all 3 years I was in the program. Now at Indiana University, I continue to seek new opportunities to expand my professional and personal leadership. I am broadening my career knowledge by enrolling in classes that will challenge me within my career, but also learning how to reach out for help when I am struggling, such as finding strong study groups and attending tutoring service offered by the University. As a member of Indiana University Dance Marathon, I work towards increasing the life of others by using my time to raise money and awareness, and help the university understand the importance of the children living their lives ill and in a hospital. All of the money that is raised within the whole Dance Marathon network is donated to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. I find joy within volunteering and participating in Dance Marathon.I hope to grow my connections and experience within Airport Management this summer by working or getting an internship at the Indianapolis International Airport. To continue to develop my strengths of problem solving, decision making, and collaboration, I look forward to engaging in an internship, such as the one mentioned before, sometime in the future. Ultimately, I see myself pursuing a management career maximizing organization and improving business performances for airports and airlines.
