Oversee operations of the NAU Road Scholar program. We are a provider of educational group travel programs for people over the age of 50. Trip itineraries focus on the southwest. We are one of the largest program providers in the National network of Road Scholar programs, serving over 3000 visitors a year.

Learning & Development Trainer at Northern Arizona University providing professional development in the areas of team building, change management, customer service, sales, supervisory skills and personal development.

Oversite of general office operations responsible for the support of and preparation for Educational Travel programs for an estimated 4000+ visitors per year. Responsible for negotiating and booking hotel and tour dates for 200+ group trip dates per year with over 80 vendors. Maintain appropriate vendor Certificates of Insurances. Provide bid justifications to support requisition process. Partner with NAU Contracting, Risk Management and Purchasing. Member of the leadership team and acted as back up for Director in his absence for all operational needs. Maintain database with current vendor booking information, contracts, and ensure trip Itinerary information accuracy within database. Development of database & process documentation for office procedures. Oversee training of new office staff / student employees.Serve as Group Leader (up to 40 participants) or Program assistant on various Road Scholar educational travel programs. Development of presentations as needed. Provide interpretive information about the region (history, culture, flora, fauna) and handle program logistics out in the field during the program. May also drive vans while providing interpretive information about the area we are traveling to. Educating, entertaining, ensuring safety, engaging and evolving visitors understanding of the cultures, history, geology and natural aspects of our region.
