Since June 2016, I have been acting Manager in the Fuzion Human Resource department reporting directly to the Senior Management Team. IN April 2017, I was made permanent manager of the department. In addition to my HR Generalist activities listed below, I have served as a leader on the HR team and helped plan and implement all human resource associate activities in addition to managing the HR staff and developing strategic initiatives for the company.

Served as leader of HR team. Recognizing a lack in HR metrics, I developed and implemented the department’s first analytics dashboard showcasing quarterly results (i.e. turnover, headcount, time to fill, sourcing, and benefits). I lead the development of an extensive on-boarding process which includes engaging employees prior to their first day, culture immersion and general knowledge to help new hires be successful. Seeking to increase visibility into HR communications and employee activities, I selected and implemented an HRIS from Namely which includes multiple social components, resulting in increased employee engagement. Responsible for the deployment and upkeep of all Fuzion HR technologies (i.e. Paycor, Namely, Cornerstone on Demand). Responsible for program/project management (i.e. employee engagement surveys, mentor program, compensation data workbook). Developed and deployed a successful wellness program and department organizational development plans. Oversee performance management cycles and implemented a performance management revamp which includes a new structure and compensation plan. In the past three years, I have been instrumental in the development and implementation of the HR training and development sessions. Skills and competencies include: associate relations, benefit administration, business analysis, compensation structure and analysis, HR analytics, HR technologies, long-term care insurance, organizational development, performance management, program management, recruitment, on boarding and training & development. Received my SHRM-CP in 2016.

Due to my knowledge and leadership skills, I earned a promotion to the position of Operations Manager overseeing the Rate Increase and Fraud department. In my role, I was successful in implementing the Fuzion rate increase plan over the course of 3 years obtaining 80% approval rate resulting in over $200 million in additional premium. In addition, during this time I established an anti-fraud program for Fuzion which had not existed prior to this role. The program included an in house fraud examiner, an anti-fraud hotline, and a presence at the long term care anti-fraud forum. Also during this time, I was key member of a team that developed and implemented the first automated long-term care anti-fraud rules engine.

During this time, I was the lead on the project team for SHIP claim and administration system conversion. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining business requirement documents, company name change, and liaison between multiple companies. Designed, tested, implemented and eventually supported two new SHIP Operating systems. In addition, I responded to incoming written and oral inquiries from consumers, attorneys and Department of Insurance. Organized and led claim aspects of Department of Insurance Market Conduct Exams.

When I began in long term care insurance at Conseco (now CNO Financial), I worked in the call center fielding phone calls from insurance policyholders regarding their policies. At this time, I gained a deep knowledge regarding long term care insurance and was able to move throughout the company quickly and easily picking up skills along the way. In addition to the call center, I processed claims and then later responded to complaints, appeals and attorney questions in the risk management department. At this time, I also assisted the claims department and the team with any questions that would help in mitigating risk to the company.
