Terminal Manager
CurrentEffectively manage operational functions of all facets of a Regional LTL terminal/operation. Assist in the achievement of operational goals, growth and profitability. Develop new talent to fill job opportunities of the future. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Manage, direct, and lead all functions within a terminal. This includes but is not limited to: Dock Operations, Pick Up and Delivery, Line Haul Operations, Safety, Customer Service, OS& D and Sales. Primary areas of emphasis will include: productivity, service, retention, recruiting, claims and customer satisfaction.Direct responsibility and accountability for implementing and maintaining Best Practices processesImplement and maintain cost control policies through proper staffing, training, and supervision of employees.Ensure that a safe working environment is provided for all employees.Create an atmosphere of trust and teamwork that values the contributions of all employees in support of a high performance culture. This includes managing employee development as part of the Partnering for Performance and Growth Process.Lead efforts and special project teams as directed to increase revenue growth and profitability.Improve employee relations through the effective use of Performance Management techniques.
